Ninety nine year old Jhoomabai reaches polling booth with daughter-in-law in Badwani

A desire of 99 year old Jhoomabai of Sirwi Mohalla of Badwani District Headquarters to reach polling booth riding on a bike was not fulfilled if BLO would have not reached her house to deliver voter slip. When the BLO came to know about her helplessness, he immediately made arrangement for a four-wheeler. Jhoomabai with daughter-in-law happily went to cast vote by four-wheeler.


Smt. Gulabi Bai is Kalyani (Widow). She lost her husband last month. The SVEEP assistance team helped her in casting vote by taking her to Divyang Adarsh Matdaan Kendra of Ashagram. She says that 'personal pain does not come in the way to strengthen democracy, country is supreme'. After seeing the enthusiasm of the leprosy patient Gulabi Bai, when youth garlanded her, she told them to exercise their voting right necessarily.


Kachatiya Baba reaches polling booth on wheelchair


Eighty year old Kachatiya Baba of Badwani itself casted vote with the help of wheelchair at Divyang Adarsh Matdaan Kendra of Ashagram early morning. He had not to wait in a queue to cast his vote. He not only casted votes in every election but has also urged his family members besides neighbors for casting votes.
