Elderly besides lactating mother Pooja vote without standing in line in Shajapur

Lactating women, senior citizens and disabled remained free from the troubles of standing in a queue to vote during Lok Sabha election in Shajapur district. Lactating mother Pooja Malviya exercised her franchise without having to stand in a line at polling centre -158. Similarly, 85 year old Vamanrao More at polling centre-201, 85-year-old Tejkumari Jain and 80-year-old Ravindra Dikshit also cast their votes without standing in line at polling centre-153.


Shade, pure drinking water and seating arrangements with coolers was made for the voters at the polling booths of the district. Attractions like toys and slides were made available for children accompanying women voters.


Gopal of Ratlam district used his foot to vote


Gopal Singh of Ratlam district does not have hands, yet he was quite enthusiastic about voting. He voted using his toe at the polling station-231 of Talod village in Alot assembly segment.


First time voters show enthusiasm


Much enthusiasm was noticed among the voters who registered for the first time in the voter list. These young voters seemed very happy and proud after casting votes at polling station -143 Kalukhedi of Ratlam Rural assembly segment.
